Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 June 2026
Vozelle is a Chrome extension that translates the audio of your active browser tab into spoken voice, in real time. This policy explains exactly what we process, why, and what we never keep.
The short version
- Your audio is never stored. It is streamed, translated, and discarded in real time.
- We keep only what is needed to run your account and enforce plan limits.
- We never sell your data.
What we process
- Tab audio — captured only while you actively run a translation. It is sent, encrypted, to our backend and to Google's Gemini API for real-time translation, then immediately discarded. It is not recorded, stored, or used to train any model.
- Account data — your email address and Google account identifier, received when you sign in with Google. Used solely to authenticate you.
- Usage data — session duration, chosen target language, and timestamps. Used to enforce your plan's time limits and to operate the service.
- Billing data — handled entirely by Stripe. We do not see or store your card details.
Third parties we rely on
- Google — Gemini API (real-time translation) and Google Sign-In (authentication). See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting for account and usage data (EU region).
- Stripe — payment processing and billing.
These providers process data only to deliver the service and under their own privacy terms.
Retention
- Audio: never retained — discarded the moment it is translated.
- Account & usage data: kept while your account is active; deleted within 30 days of account deletion or on request.
Your rights (GDPR)
You can request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. To do so, contact us at the address below. You may also delete your account, which removes your associated data.
Security
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS). Audio is processed in memory and never written to disk on our servers.
Children
Vozelle is not directed to children under 16.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
